Septal hematoma

Definition

A septal hematoma is a bruise or bleeding in a septum, a wall that separates two body spaces or soft tissue. For example, the wall separating the chambers of the heart is a septum. The septum of the nose separates the two nostrils. A broken nose may cause a septal hematoma.
